We realize that without a skilled workforce, businesses in our community can’t survive.  The Chamber plays a vital role in developing and keeping talent here in Bainbridge and Decatur County.  We do that by hosting leadership classes for high school students, an adult leadership class and also holding seminars and educational opportunities for employees of our member businesses. 

The Chamber hosts “Chamber in the Classroom,” an initiative that allows member businesses to go into the schools and discuss what jobs are available in Decatur County and what skills are needed to have those jobs.

We work closely with the K12 system and know that teachers want to bring real life examples to the classroom and want to equip students with the skills they need to walk into a job.  Our Teacher externships allow teachers to spend time at our industries learning how our businesses work and the industry needs for the future.
